Hosting Dedicated Server for LAN Play
-
Hello, next month my friend will be hosting a LAN party. I recently created a Plutonium Black Ops 2 dedicated server so we can play multiplayer locally. At our previous LAN party, we tried to play by connecting to a custom game by adding each other on the forum, but we were unsuccessful. That is why I am trying a dedicated server this time around. My question is will his internet be able to handle 10+ people joining off the same network? At the previous LAN, the bandwidth was slow even when trying to access a browser. I am not sure if that will be an issue for multiple Plutonium users connecting on the same network. Is there a way to host a server without any bandwidth issues? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

If you create a local dedicated server and connect through the console and local IP there is almost not traffic that needs to go through the internet. This has the advantage that the AC is still active.

Ok, thank you. I will do some in-person testing with my friend later to see if they can connect to my server. I appreciate your help.
