Issues with DDoS Attacks on My Server

I've been dealing with DDoS attacks for several days now. I can't accuse anyone since I haven't gathered solid evidence yet, but I suspect another hosting provider might be involved. Everything runs fine when there are no players, but as soon as the server fills up, the attacks start, seemingly intended to drive players away.

I've tried some firewall software, but the problem is that it ends up blocking legitimate players from accessing the server. Is there a more effective way to block the IP sending these DDoS attacks, or is a hardware firewall my only real option? The sheer number of packets is even causing issues with my local network.

I believe what's making it easier for the attacker is the website getserve-rs, which publicly displays my server's IP and port.

No it's not your provider, no you can't protect your server with a firewall app or iptables
Your ip is public and extremely easy to find, without a scrubbing center you will not be able to defend against botnet attacks (which is what you're getting)

There is just a lot of DDoS happening to pluto cuz they dont do much to help owners
