hi, im having trouble launching zombies mode

whenever I launch or try to launch zombies mode on my laptop, it says "t6zm - Zombies Offline.exe.27264.STEAMSTART", it only allows me to launch campaign mode, so do I just have to buy the steam version of it to play? and when i try setting it up on plutonium, it doesnt do anything
it just gives me a blank command screen thing :((
