Black Ops 2 multiplayer FPS issue

Hi, I'm having an issue with Black Ops 2 in multiplayer mode because on certain maps (especially the larger ones), the game experiences a drastic drop in FPS for no apparent reason, even though I know my PC can handle the game just fine. In fact, in Zombies mode, no matter the map, it runs smoothly on any graphics setting. However, in multiplayer, it’s unplayable on large maps. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem?

I found that switching the video settings from fullscreen to windowed fullscreen fixed multiplayer for me, and turning off sync every frame helps too, I believe.
