Cannot join/start a server
Howdy everyone, im trying to setup a zombies server for me and my friends to enjoy without having to setup our ps3 to play bo2. I have port forwarded 4976 4977 and my PCs local ipv4 is setup as DMZ on my router so ports shouldnt be an issue.
When I start the server up it bounds to the port properly then the console updates with "Steam: Callback dispatched: 715" When i type in status into the console it says "Server is not running" When I type "map zm_nuked" or any other map name then type status again it sppears to show a empty table filled with ----- for the columns num score bot ping ect....
I have this in my dedicated_zm.cfg so I am not sure why I need to declare the map before it starts the server
sv_maprotation "gametype zstandard loc nuked map zm_nuked"
At this point I still cannot join the server and my friends cannot see it on the server listing. I have tried opening the client side console in game and doing "connect localhost:4976" and that loads me up into checkerbaord style map loading screen(Like on MW2 when you start up a infection map or a "fake map") then kicks me for "server Disconnected = You"

Also when running a server on the same pc as the client you should set the port to 4977 manually in the startup parameters, otherwise it will use 4976 or 4977 depending on if you start client or server first.
@Dss0 so I decided to uninstall the steam version because I am missing 1 DLC. im followed the client tutorial and mp works fine. But now that I am trying to setup the new server files their is no main folder in the directory for bo2. So I am not too sure where to but the cfg Also in the server guide you linked at step 2 it uses the same github repo I got my old server bat from which people are saying is outdated
@zShifty the github repo isn't oudated. If a folder doesn't exist you have to create it.
