why the hate? it cetainly works better. i've had windows 10 installs die on me without warning. its annoying as hell. the sluggish speed even on an ssd makes it a miserable experience so windows 7 was the answer for me.

i get the lack of support but it kinda sounds dumb considering i havent gotten hacked since ever.

Gigabyte1027 The code that the game runs on doesn't work on windows 7. Also Pluto does not bother with an OS that isn't supported anymore by Microsoft.

Yo_Angelo it is still supported though
        I still get updates
you can use another version of win7 for more updates or
you could run bypassESU for more updates which is something you run once no hacking shit

Windows7Ultimate That may be the case but those methods are sort of unorthodox. Even if we say it still gets updates the way the game is coded itself makes it impossible to run on Windows 7.

why not? it doesnt seem too hard especially considering the amount of documentation there is reguarding windows 7 and developing software for it. it would probably help with people running entry level pc's too. not to mention the fact that like 90% of the games ive seen on steam even the new ones still work on 7 and even vista so it seems logical to support it

The guy is just mad because he can't understand simple english language. Had to tell him the same thing 3 times and kept going. The code Plutonium adds in MW3 since the last update requires stuff in your Windows Kernel that doesn't exist on Windows 7. You need at least Windows 8.1 in order to have support for these features. The game can't launch without it. It's not about hating Windows 7, Windows 7 is old technical wise and we don't want to have to build our code in a way it still works on Windows 7. It indirectly prevents us from making good & new features. And again, it wont run anymore on Windows 7 due to the code changes of last update.

Besides that, I'd advise to use Windows 10 as it is OFFICIALLY supported by Microsoft. Sometimes it's time to move forward.

Gigabyte1027 I'm not the developer here. However what I said with the code being meant for windows 8+ was a paraphrase quote from the creator himself. I don't see it as a big deal but if you really do care I'm not the person that can help you with that.

RektInator huh maybe its the backlash. they we're being nice. im saying it would be a nice addition in a future update or something. if anyone is up to the task of porting maybe all this anger can die off and let people actually play the game on the system's of they're choice. supported or not

We will not put any effort in towards supporting a platform that is not officially supported by Microsoft anymore. It's a waste of time. What do we lose? 1 guy that insults staff members over not accepting a single answer and you? Fine for me.

RektInator What a mature admin! Saying someone someone cannot understand English but is just mad that you were being rude to him it seems
you didn't explain what part doesn't work
modern games for example doom eternal runs great on windows 7 but you're saying bo2 or mw3 need the advantages windows 10 gives? From what my friends whom use windows 7 said
it works great for everything and isn't outdated yet

I am his friend but could not ask him about anything due to him going to dinner

? I already explained it. We import functions from the kernel that Windows 7 simply doesn't have. Either take it or leave it, I don't care, I don't have to explain this shit to you guys, I am not obligated to make the game run on your Windows 7 machines 😂 This is a hobby project for me, you guys are starting to bring drama for simply not accepting the answer from another Administrator.

Besides that, I already explained it 3 times. The game calls some code from the kernel that has better alternatives since Windows 8. These alternative functions are not available on Windows 7. Repeating myself for the 4th time now. Since the last update we use them to make the game run better but that also means it completely breaks Windows 7. But it is not our policy to support that game anyway.

This is the final thing I am going to say about this topic, if you cause any more drama you will be banned from the forum and the game.
