I have done everything, but I still can't get into Modern Warfare 3.
-
The Scrooge well you don't need that if you own it, that's just a way to get the game files for free.
Anyways have you selected the correct folder? If you're unsure post a screenshot of the game settings in the launcher and one of your mw3 game folder. -
I couldn't find multiplayer lobbies through steam with the regular MW3.
-
Dss0 I don't think I have the correct folder. I can't even find a folder with anything for some reason.
-
The Scrooge as i said if you got the game installed on steam and steam is installed in it's default location the folder will be
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
So just verify that exists and has the game files in it.
The folder selection dialogue in the launcher won't show files btw, just folders. -
I don't really know where to look. Sorry man.
-
The Scrooge bro. its easy.
open file explorer.
go toC:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
-
It isn't there for some reason. No clue why.
-
The Scrooge if you own it on steam you can right click your mw3 in steam go to properties then local files, browse local files
-
Thanks for the tip man. Which ones do I go into?
-
The Scrooge well if you own mw3 on steam you did not have to download the dedicated server files as that is only for people who did not own the game
but since you have them both downloaded it really does not matter what version you use as there both the latest version of mw3 just make sure that you take the file address of where that said mw3 is located and make sure it matches what the pluto launcher says where said mw3 game files are -
When I open the dedicated server thing up, this is what I see:
Hopefully you see that.
If not, I basically see connecting to services. Bellow all of that is a text box I can type in.
-
The Scrooge you don't open it up, you select it's folder int he plutonium launcher and launch the game via the plutonium launcher. If you start the dedicated server via steam that starts the steam mw3 dedicated server which has nothing to do with plutonium, plutonium simply uses it's files.
-
god its so simple it tells you that you have selected the wrong files you need to go into your steam files go to common find ether the dedicated server files or the original files and set them as the path
-
can anyone share all the file of MW3 dedicated server as idk when i intall it doesnt have all the files
