Joining Game Session...

hello, i dont know if this is a known is a known or common issue, but i want to play a private zombies game with my friend, and we are following each other on plutonium, when we try to join each other sessions, it says "Joining Game Session..." for 5 seconds and goes away and nothing happens. How do i fix this?
