I updated my dns settings and continue to receive the error

Running plutonium.exe just gets me this error:

Failed to check for updates: object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Crash ID:fdb671c84b3b48d497ef33d5ce22decd

Then the updater appears giving me an error about not being up to date and says ill start in LAN mode.
