Plutonium

I just downloaded plutonium and yes the correct one with the correct link.
after starting i get a crash message "failed to check for updates" and the plutonium updater tells me that im missing some files and i must start the game again with internet connection ...im pretty sure i am connected to the internet otherwise i couldnt write this post. is plutonium just dead now or what is the problem?
