Plutonium

Infamous I had no idea you didn't have to buy MW3 in the first place, guess I didn't read the guide close enough lol. Thanks for the help!

So I bought MW3 a couple years ago and just found plutonium a couple days ago. I've been having a blast playing it and want to play with some friends, but none of them have bought MW3 and probably don't want to fork up the cash for a 9 year old game. Plutonium is mostly separate from Steam servers from what I know, so would pirated copies of MW3 work on it? I don't really have a way to test it myself but if anyone knows that would be cool.

If nothing on the FAQ works, try disabling Windows Defender & reinstalling Plutonium. That's what worked for me.

Vlad9029 I troubleshooted this issue for an hour before finding out that it was just Windows Defender thinking one of the files was a trojan.

Just go to Virus & threat protection from the Windows Security page and set the detected files to "allow on this computer" or something close to that. Apply the changes and disable windows defender, then you should be good to go. It would be great if this information was on the FAQ but sadly it's missing, could've saved me a lot of time and effort.

Windows Defender is a really solid antivirus program so make sure you turn it back on when you finish playing.
