I tested this moments ago and it appears that g_password works correctly on the dedicated server for both SP/MP.
I suggest the OP to verify that they set the password correctly. Or lay out exactly what they did and what went wrong.

I consider one month of uptime to be quite good for a game made for Windows and running on a Linux system.
Unless you somehow create a memory dump of the process when this issue occurs it's impossible to tell you anything concrete.
You should put in place measures to restart the servers regularly.

Esot3ric It's not an issue with your config. Somewhere, somehow in some game file, it attempts to set it to 24, but it's completely ignored because it is not a valid value. It will remain 14 or whatever you set it to.

This is not a crash @Cosbys-Perc-30s. It's a script runtime error. It does not affect gameplay but may cause hitching if it happens frequently.
