@Gods-Reign well if you forwarded the port aswell (which the guide does mention) then your friend should be able to connect via your wan ip (https://whatsmyip.com/). Open the console with the tilde key (^ or ~) and type
connect wanip
ofc the host has to have the game started, lobbies don't work.
"Patching updates"? Or fetching update info? If it's the latter, might be your AV, try following this if you're on defender. However if it's not the issue, screenshot your error please since I can't see whatever xerxes posted above.
