No there's no alternatives. Pluto doesn't support older OS's, upgrade to windows 10.

Delete the plutonium folder in %localappdata%, and try launching pluto again

Delete both the launchers - the original one as well as the .new one, redownload it from http://cdn.plutonium.pw/updater/plutonium.exe and run it as admin.

Skidrow repacks are bad, download the piry and it will install bo2 for you. Delete the entire folder

Where did you download the basegame from? Nosteam/skidrow contain trash repacks, I'd suggest deleting the whole folder and following our official guide which contains clean files. However if you did follow this guide and still getting that error, some other game repack you downloaded might've fucked with your system's dlls - launch cmd as administrator and type this into it

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

This should repair your windows installation, restart your PC and try launching Pluto again.

Make sure firewall isn't blocking pluto, add it to exclusions, then try again. If that doesn't work, try changing dns to 1.1.1.1 or try a vpn
