JezuzLizard DoudouToutDoux Yeah, I have the same problem. I like to use a cg_fov of 55. It works fine being set to that in game, but upon dying it will go to 65. Running as an admin won’t fix it for you. As JezuzLizard said, it’s coded into the game. It would be cool if maybe you developers could lower the minimum of that dvar. Maybe redefine it using some kind of detour or NOP function. To have the best results that are similar to modern COD games, the FOV needs to be set lower than 65 and the fovscale needs to be set to a high value.

Change ADS sensitivity.? -
cg_fov and cg_fovscale issuesHello,
I really love what you guys have done by unlocking the fovscale. However, whenever I set it it just seems to reset in another game. The same thing happens with the FOV. I would like to use a cg_fovscale of 1.9 and a cg_fov of 55. This works if I set them both in the game I am in, but if I join a new game or die it can reset. How can I make these permanent settings? I was thinking that as a workaround I could make binds that run the console commands to set them both, but I can’t seem to do that either.
This kind of thing works perfectly in IW6x and S1x. Does anyone have any advice?

[Feature Request] cg_fovscale and cg_fovFragsAreUs Thanks. I will give it a try. However, I am hoping for a more long-term solution that doesn’t reset. Black Ops 2 not having this feature really makes it show its age compared to more recent COD games.

[Feature Request] cg_fovscale and cg_fovHello,
One of my biggest issues with BO2 has always been its awful ADS sensitivity. With BO4, MW2019, and BOCW, the developers have added a relative ADS sensitivity option that makes the hip fire sensitivity and ADS sensitivity much closer to one another. In practice, unlocking the cg_fovscale dvar and changing the value has a similar impact (in addition to making the FOV much nicer).
This feature has already been implemented in Plutonium’s MW3 client and XLab’s IW6x project (I was able to submit a pull request and have the feature implemented in under an hour), so I’m sure it’s very similar for BO2. You all know much more about modding than I do, but for IW6x I just intercepted the call to register cg_fovscale and registered it using a larger range of values and without being cheat protected.
If you do add this feature, I would request that you allow the range to be, at a minimum, 1 - 2. Additionally, if you could remove the lower bound on cg_fov from 65 to at least 40 that would be great. My reasoning for this is that in order to achieve the same FOV as BOCW’s 120, a cg_fovscale of 1.9 and an FOV of 55 should be used. Having tried this on IW6x, it really makes a huge difference to the game.
Both of these changes should be extremely trivial for you guys, and I think they would really make the game much better.
Thanks,

Movement speed. Its horrible.Yes, I can probably explain it. Is this in a custom game or a dedicated server? In BO2, movement speed and other physics are tied to FPS. When I play in a custom game my FPS goes to 800+ and I can hardly move. In a dedicated server, the FPS is locked to 200, making it run mostly like normal. Try to join a dedicated server or limit your frame rate to 200 fps using the NVIDIA control panel or RTSS.

Plutonium MW3 won't startI am having the same issue. Worked perfectly yesterday.
