    What is SkyFall?
    SkyFall is a custom map made by me with GSC for Black Ops 2 based on buried map. The initial version was released in 2020 as a proof of concept, demonstrating the feasibility of making a true custom maps in Zombies mode with a lot of effort.

    So, what's the reimagined version?
    The reimagined version represents what SkyFall needed to be at the start. As indicated, the original version served merely as a proof of concept. The Reimagined project started in end 2022 (yep its been more than 1.5 year of development (with a lot of pause, but skyfall is not the only project that i work xD))

    Why a survival mode?
    The map is designed to work on all platforms: XBOX, PS3, STEAM, and PLUTONIUM. Consequently, I couldn't incorporate optimized elements specific at Plutonium, And do the project run in bonus on all platform without surpassing the limitations of BO2. Therefore, I've streamlined this version into a survival mode, omitting the main quest and boss fight to accommodate these constraints.

    Will the original version ever be released?
    Perhaps. It may require a complete code overhaul to optimize it for Plutonium since the final project will never run correctly on PS3/XBOX platforms.

    Why a open beta ?
    Bugs can still occur, I correct them over time even if some will just never be corrected in this version. Remember that a fix need to work on all platforms so if the bug is caused by a game function of the original map i cant use replacefunc to fix it, i need to make an alternative code and find a way to stop or detour the function.

    A new project after this custom map ?
    Not with GSC, I'm a little fed up with Black Ops 2's GSC since I've already achieved almost everything that could be done with it between my public and personal projects, making a zombie custom map was really the last thing that I wanted to do.

    What is SkyFall?

    So, what's the Prototype version?
    Before the reimagined version, i worked on a v2 of the original version. And i stopped this version since i thinked do a total rebuild of the map to make a reimagined version will be better. I didnt removed this version and i used it to implement and test some features of the reimagined.

    Why release the prototype version?
    Its not totaly a prototype since the code are litteraly the same than skyfall reimagined, its not the same map, and i thinked since this prototype is similar than the original version (remember thats litteraly the originaly v2), i will do something to let people who played it in 2020 get a better version of this, so litteraly a mini remaster.

    Supported platform?
    Same as Skyfall reimagined (Survival), PS3/XBOX/STEAM/PLUTONIUM, i dont like make a thing for only one platform.

    Why this version dont have a boss ?
    Since the Skyfall reimagined (Survival) dont have one, i didnt found the interest to put a boss on his prototype. Maybe i add a little main quest one day and the boss but not on the v1.0.0 .

    Bugs on map ?

But its not that i will never work again with gsc, i just wont do any new project for a moment.

    wi3rrr I don't know, there's a lot to port from my old build to the one I'm currently using, other than just making the scripts compatible. I also need to adjust and improve few steps, etc. But now that coop is no longer supported, yes, it opens up the possibility of adding a lot more things including the main quest.

    1.0.4 Update (Open Alpha + link added):

    • Intermission reduced to 8sec, and down to 4sec during specific events or when Fast Intermission relic are enabled
    • Mini-boss speed increased (150 → 160)
    • Mini-boss attack range increased (68 → 100)
    • Added Cursed Mode (old score system, pack a punch price modified...)
    • Added Cursed Tiers 1, 2, 3, and 4
    • Added 15 relics for Cursed Mode and other game modes

    Cursed Relics:

    Difficulty 1:

    • Disable Mystery Box
    • Faster zombie spawns
    • Faster intermission

    Difficulty 2:

    • Disable Killstreak Station
    • Disable Wall Weapons
    • Disable Ammo Box
    • Zombies always sprint
    • Reduced material drops

    Difficulty 3:

    • Disable Pack-a-Punch

    About Relics:
    Relics can be enabled in any game mode, but only Cursed Mode provides tier bonuses.
    To benefit from tier bonuses in other game modes, Cursed Mode must also be enabled.

    Cursed Tier Bonuses:
    Each relic contributes a specific value:

    • Difficulty 1 = +1
    • Difficulty 2 = +2
    • Difficulty 3 = +3

    When reaching certain thresholds, you unlock tier bonuses:

    • ≥ 3 → Tier 1: Shield upgraded (reduces damage by 50%)
    • ≥ 6 → Tier 2: Ultra rarity (normal weapons deal x5 damage)
    • ≥ 9 → Tier 3: Pack-a-Punch 4 (x10 damage)
    • ≥ 15 → Tier 4: Distortion 115 replaced by Atomizer 115
