dont really want everyone else to have the same prestige as me that was the whole point

i cant change my prestige and have it stay, everytime i go to do it, it says "it appears as though the persistent rank data for 'rowan' has been corrupted. Your rank has been restored to the most recently stored backup: Commander Lvl 55 Prestige 15" and im trying to change it to prestige 12.
