Im having the same issure revisiting this game with a friend. Pluto gets stuck here

My buddy and i have decided to return to WAW zombies but he cannot load custom maps. Everything works fine on original maps and we can join each other. Every time he tries to load the custom map/mod the bootstrapper stops responding and he gets an infinite loading wheel with a cmd prompt in the background. My mods and game load fine but i have had the game for years and he just got it yesterday.
