Forums is back online. The servers are not down unless the admins took them down. But, plutonium which is the man-in-the-middle is being updated..Always happens. Or possible intrusion...hoping not.

Pirated Versions of the game are unsupported.
Is the game pirated? Some pirated versions for compression are missing files. The crackhead assumes those files removed aren't required to run the game, or could be part of the exploit/crack. IF NOT! Run integrity check wherever you installed it from. Only Steam owns the copy, unless you own a physical copy.
Between me and you...what I could do is search for the patches..Final update is 1.7
Apply one by one. Go to gamefront and search World at War. You will see official patches. Try it out and let me know. I want to give this a shot too. I'll report back.

Do you have dual graphics? Ex: integrated graphics with PCI-E graphics card. I've seen this before..what I did was...go to settings and display. Scroll to the bottom and click Graphics settings. Plutonium should be added automatically or present already. Click it and check High Performance. Also, click desktop app and ADD. Look for the original installation and add both Multiplayer and COOP. Set both to high performance.

Don't use email for username.
Check your internet and at least 1MB/s.
Are you getting errors and asking to play Lan? Check the internet connection.
If you are just receiving login credentials errors, plutonium website might be under maintenance. If errors still pursue...go to Plutoniums app data...ex."C:/user/<your account>/App data/Local/Plutonium/launcher/assets/" and delete nix-bridge.js
Alternatively i'd just delete the folder "launcher" and try again.
