Is there a way to separate my MW3 installation from MW3 dedicated servers? I really want the map selection to work but I haven't finished the base game fully yet and I don't want to delete it to make multiplayer work.

The crash is a known issue just press ESC There is no rotation in private games it's just how it is. You could write a script for it or even better use a mapvote which would allow you to vote at the end without going back to the lobby. No, that functionality is not built in. You could try to use a 3rd party tool like HLSW but no guarantees that it will work.
