Should I risk getting kicked off the server for running this kind of mod? I recently discovered a really cool mod that changes your HUD and other items to a cold war style. How do I alter just the HUD and just the style?

Denzetsu Unlikely, if anything the HUD will just look very out of place since it's meant for the cold war mod and not servers that don't have it running. I suggest not using it when joining servers.

you shouldn’t get banned since it’ll only load the custom textures

Denzetsu images and scripts cannot get you banned no matter what it is because it's client side.
As long as you don't use a software to mess with the game you're good to go -
