Why is the Pack A Punch weapon flash removed and reverted to the original when shooting?

How can I get only the HUD? I only need the HUD or the health bar with the zone text.

This seems utterly pointless, like why even play the game if you're going to just remove any and all challenge? Like might as well just use cheat codes.

is there a way to only have a couple scripts from the thing. Like if I only want the hud + 1 hit box. I figure you would just go through and pick out which gsc's you want from the download and only install those but when I did that I would launch a game then get an error and taken back to the main menu.

a script for the jet gun and the die rise elevators is the only thing I want, although the visual improvement the hud could be another striking set
