Plutonium refuses to open the game

I was trying to launch Black Ops 2, but the game would try to open on a black screen for about 5-7 seconds before just closing. I've verified the integrity of the game files through steam, and they seem to be okay. I also created an antivirus exception for plutonium. I'm not sure what else I could try. Thank you.
