Love of COD and also donation bread. What, you think they're leaking our data to the Chinese government or something?

Katakura9 why else would someone create mods and stuff? Every single modder in the world creating mods on Garry's Mod, Cyberpunk 2077, Skyrim etc is working for the chinese gov.

      Passion is just a myth

DonnaJerrily I tell you there are some dim people in the CoD community. They seem to forget that there are countless mods and projects besides Plutonium and outside of CoD that have been around for years and they all did it for free. Hobbies and passion projects are like a blur to them. Shoutout to the ones that actually have a brain in the CoD community. We need more of them and fewer illiterate kids around.

Hey there! I totally get where you're coming from. It can be hard to imagine that people would put so much time and effort into something without getting paid.

Baldaresan Even tho its kinda sad that people want camos for free, it would be kinda nice if all these camos that we've made; even me, would be paid for cause both sides would be benefiting, not just the person wanting/getting the camo. For me from a business standpoint I think it could boom a bit. But again, the majority of people in this community want camos and custom stuff free so we cant really do anything about it.

Making those cool camos takes serious skill, and it's only fair to get something in return, right? I totally get the struggle between wanting to make money and the community's love for freebies.

From a business perspective, I see your point – it could totally boom! But hey, it's tough when the majority leans towards free stuff. How do you guys navigate that dilemma?

From my point of view, it doesn't require enough skill to be paid
However, it depends on the task and the amount of time you're putting in

Remember that this kind of business is a bit uncertain. You need Plutonium to make it work. If Pluto disappears, then your business falls too

I also believe that making paid camos is like stealing. With a complete tutorial you can make your own request for free. It's basically like selling air.

In a nutshell, to me you can build your business on it, but I will feel guilty to make someone pay for a simple task like 3 pics.

FaZe Flick slapping an image in a software or doing tiktok trickshotters camos isn't worth any money tbh. By your logic pretty much 95% of the CP2077 modders should be paid because their mods require a shit ton more work and brain usage than camos lol

People want free camos because that's how it's always been and there's no reason why you should pay for camos on a free modding client that's made specifically for modding. People shit on Bethesda for trying to implement paid mods but you want to provide low quality and low effort stuff for money? Seems unlogical to me. Doing custom stuff for someone for money is fine to me but thinking of modding as a money thing is stupid. If your mod is good and you have a donation page you will have money. You can look at any good CP2077 as an example of this
