BO2 multiplayer not loading

keep getting this message when trying to load multiplayer up and unsure how to fix it:
Error during initialization:
Missing config file "default_mp_controls.cfg" during initiliazation. May need to add to code_pre_gfx. -
You have to install MP in Steam to play MP.
