Bo1 Textures
-
Depending how you installed the textures, they might be installed directly in your game folder. Open your game folder then the
main
folder. If you seeiw_##.iwd
where the number is greater or equal to "42", then those are extra textures installed for custom texture mods and can be deleted to remove any custom textures installed in the game folder. If you had to replace the iwd files (or what’s inside the files) lower than iw_42 to apply custom textures, then repair your game files. https://plutonium.pw/docs/repair/ -
So you're saying I shouldn't use anything under iw_42 to have custom textures? If so, then I did use iw_39 for some of my textures.
-
@zTeskeys correct. When there’s the option of applying mods without replacing files from the game folder, then I consider replacing the game files to be a bad practice. Just follow Plutonium’s document for replacing textures: https://plutonium.pw/docs/modding/loading-textures/
Alternatively, if you really have to place the texture replacements in an IWD file, just place your textures in animages
folder, zip it, rename the zip and change its format toiw_42.iwd
(or any number higher than 42.You can go up to 99 I believe(edit: seems it doesn’t really matter what the name is as long as it hasiw_
at the beginning and is in.iwd
format. Some symbols might not work though)), and place the new IWD file in themain
folder inside your game folder. -
im now trying to use a iwd without a number (iw_animatedcamos_iwd). Will that work instead of 42 or higher?
-
@zTeskeys yes.
-
also by doing this and making it into iw_42.iwd, the gloves just didnt work at all. They used to work by using my glove file, but now that isnt working. My hands and arms just turn white. Same with my claymore.
-
@zTeskeys I suspect it’s a problem from the texture pack itself. Try uninstalling it and applying it again https://forum.plutonium.pw/topic/31053/animated-camos-v2-0-zm
Note for the zone files when using them on Plutonium: you can place them in%localappdata%\Plutonium\storage\t5\zone
instead of replacing the the ones in the game folder. -
Maybe, but I'm just trying to use the bonecrusher gloves, which should work normally as I've put them in the right spot, and I've done a little rearranging and now I only have the bones. Meaning that there is the texture for the bones popping up, just not the arm and hands.

@zTeskeys if you have placed textures in the
\t5\images
folder (from the Plutonium loading textures document), try removing theimages
folder entirely and see if that’s the cause of the problem. If that’s not it, then idk. It would be good if you provide links of the textures you’re trying to apply.
