To be fully honest (BO2 Reimagined Serverbase)...
-
The [Reimagined] servers and especially the grief servers, there's gotta be a higher player base, right?
JBleezy's Reimagined Mod, probably down to be one if not the best Plutonium mod we've ever gotten, and yet it's basically deserted! Now sure, you could go on to say that in your opinion, you find servers to be populated quite a lot, and I don't know if that's because you're super lucky or my server browser's broken, but most likely it's the former.
I just make this to really just elaborate and review how lonely the Reimagined servers are, because with the addition of MP weapon ports, better gameplay mechanics/additions and additional game modes, some being better than the originally cut ones, you'd think it'd add up with OX and MJ servers if not surpass them lol.
Just wanted to be aware of it. I was surprised to see a game of Grief going on in Reimagined, but after joining to see that while there are general players, there's also a few admins and developers, and that sucks because it was a fun set of matches playing the famously recreated gamemodes of Search & Resurrect, Containment, Race, Meat and Grief, and I feel like with how hard it is to find matches, I assume those times seem limited.
TD:LR - Here to put out that the [Reimagined] servers in the browser list, is most of the time empty, with not many people playing on the servers, and I wanted to highlight that, maybe in the spirit of potentially reawakening more amounts of players onto this server. I even just got out of a simple match of Tranzit and it was also enjoyable because of the sheer difficulty that this mod somehow created despite giving you a tactical knife, I felt like I was playing Steam BO2 where everything isn't so incredibly easy for once.
But that's all, so if you read up to this point (reading TD:LR as well doesn't matter), thanks for hearing me out.
Super TD:LR - [Reimagined] servers are pretty dead most of the time and I feel like with how much is done, it should be more populated.

G0LD3N 4RM That mod is amazing... but there are lots of factors that dictate which servers are full and which are not. A lot of is it location... people not pinging well, other servers being closer etc... heck, some people might prefer a vanilla experience or hell it might be an off day.
There is no doubt that the Reimagined Mod is great, but there are lots of reasons why servers running that mod might not be full all the time.

Nice post, I appreciate your kind words.
Once the 2.0 update is fully done, I'm going to get the word out there more.
As for the Grief servers, you can join my discord to see when we are getting games going. We try to get a full lobby every Saturday.

Thanks all, I don't expect servers to be incredibly populated, but going just about a whole month without seeing one person online is either crazy, or just coincidental on my end.

G0LD3N 4RM The majority of the zombie playerbase on Plutonium servers consists mostly of casual players rather than veterans, and they tend to enjoy servers that offer the most rewards and make gameplay easier, such as excessive perks, bank systems, points, no lava damage, etc. While mods like Reimagined are well polished, balanced, and well optimized from a developer’s perspective, they’re generally better suited for players who want that OG feeling with quality of life changes, while still being balanced. Plus, many veterans play in private matches to avoid servers that give too much to players. It would be good for servers to have a balance between what veterans and casuals want, but most server owners understand there are far more casuals than veterans, and if features like the bank aren’t included to make gameplay easier, casuals often won’t play on them. Also, if owners do the VIP system, server owners know casuals are far more likely to pay for it than veterans

I guess that one possibly official way to look at it then, being the case that I generally on a day-to-day basis find people on rank 1 not knowing as much as a gameplay mechanic of the map.
