The new Plutonium launcher doesn't work

I downloaded BO2 from the install guide then I went to get the new launcher, I started it and it gave me an error saying failed to check for update.
I have tried reinstalling
Please help, im trying to play BO2 with my friends!!!

keep getting this error tried reinstalling multiple time and running it as admin and it wont work pls help if possible

billydoo96 Don't hijack threads, completely unrelated error. Do you have any overlays such as msi afterburner/rivatuner statistics running in the background? If yes, quit/disable them. If no, create your own thread and elaborate what exactly you do before it gives out this error.
