Banned for "Modding"

I was banned for "Modding" and yes I was modding but I was modding in a private game with friends and never connected to any servers with any sort of cheat, I don't understand how this is ok. I mod with friends in a custom game using the commands xpartygo, and get banned the next day, I'm just trying to play zombies with some friends like usual.

Castles II injecting something into the game process if not in LAN mode will get you banned.
