Me and my friend try to join each other and it just says "joining session" for a brief moment and then it disappears for multiplayer and zombies. Both of us have UpNp enabled. We also followed the instructions in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cstpHPdscsw but it still doesn't work. Any potential fixes?

ZeIdris did the host actually start the match?
You can also try forwarding port 4976.

Try spawing in the game than tell him to double click your name in the "Friends List" when you press f10.

Dss0 Yes I made sure the match was already started as I know that parties don't work. I haven't tried port forwarding. Would it still help? And if it does, can you send me a link to a good tutorial on how to do it? And do both me any my friend have to both do this?

ZeIdris bottom of this post https://forum.plutonium.pw/topic/7/custom-games-with-friends explains it.
No, only the host of the match has to forward the port.
