Common Launcher Issues & Solutions

Launcher system requirements:

• Windows 8.1, Windows 10 version 1607 or windows 11
• Graphics card that supports DirectX 11 (on a hardware level)

Common Issues & Solutions:

Issue: Launcher does not respond when trying to start it (or says MSVCP140.dll is missing):
Solution: Install the following runtimes (also mind the system requirements on top of this post!):

Issue: Invalid login details/Account not found
Solution: Usernames are case-sensitive, make sure to enter the exact same username and password you use on the forums.

Issue: Play Button does not appear after selecting game directory, Setup Button remains
Solution: The file path to your game directory can not contain special characters (for example ó, ú, ñ, œ or similar).

Issue: After pressing the Play Button the launcher disappears but the game does not start
Possible Solutions:

• Download and Install the following:

Visual C++ 2015 RC: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685

• Follow this guide https://plutonium.pw/docs/antivirus/ to exclude Pluto from scanning in your Antivirus
• If you use mcaffee or any other highly intrusive antivirus software uninstall it.

Issue: 0x000007b when attempting to start the launcher or game
Possible Solutions:

• Make sure you meet the system requirements on top of this post and downloaded the game files either through Steam or our installation guide. Third party repacks aren't supported and may cause this error, so delete your game files if they're from a repack and follow our installation guide.
• Download and Install the following:

• Follow this guide https://plutonium.pw/docs/antivirus/ to exclude Pluto from scanning in your Antivirus
• If you use reshade remove it, reshade is no longer supported by plutonium and causes this error.

Issue: Could not authenticate to Plutonium: snowroller uninitialized

OR

Error: Handshake: certificate verify failed

Solution: This error occurs when you are trying to launch an outdated version of Plutonium. However, this should not happen if you are launching the game via Plutonium.exe which checks for updates on each launch. So if you are starting the launcher via plutonium-launcher-win32.exe please do not. Launch via plutonium.exe

Issue: GPUDriverD3D11::CreateTexture, unable to create texture.
Possible Solution:
:::

• Download this and run it.
• Click "Edit List..."
• Click the three dots right of the "enter a process or folder name" field and select "plutonium-launcher-win32.exe" located in "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Plutonium\bin"
• tick the "force warp" checkbox and select "11_0" from the "feature level limit" dropdown menu
• Hit OK & try the launcher again.

Issue: When starting the launcher it displays this error message:

Solution:

• If you downloaded one of our torrents remove it from your torrent client (right click the torrent in your torrent client -> delete)
• Restart your pc
• Delete plutonium.exe and plutonium.new.exe
• Re-download the launcher from here and run it: https://cdn.plutonium.pw/updater/plutonium.exe
