joining game not working

Hey, me and my friend were looking to play plutonium zombies and whenever i go into game and he tries joining me or i try joining him at the bottom of the screen it says ''joining game'' then after a couple seconds nothing happens
if someone could help support this problem that would be great thanks

Dss0 port forwarding isnt working with my router i tried using a redacted service and that worked thank you for the fast replies and helping

It fucks up the windows network settings + there are better tools out there for those that really can't portforward.
