lol.. is that drunk texting from your phone ?

ok, thx.. I was also looking to see how it visually looked in the server list and wondering why its not showing up. I can check from another machine, I just didnt want to if there was a way I didnt need to.

I'm unsure if he uh, answered your question but if you want to join the server that's on the computer you are hosting, just open the console and type:
connect localhost
EDIT: if
localhost
doesn't work, try127.0.0.1

homura lol
ok, that helps... connect localhost did not work, but connect 127.0.0.1 did from the same machine. On another PC on my network I attempted to connect / search but could not find it on the list either & neither connect localhost or connect 127.0.0.1 worked
I really want to know why it is not showing up on the server list... That is the whole point, to make sure it shows up on the list so people can find it and if I can't see it myself, its kinda hard to verify it is, or how it looks. I remote connected to another pc and tried to find it and it would not show up from that server list either. Is this a common problem?

@Vexbane If you are on the same wifi network as your server you usually cannot connect to your own stuff like that. Even across different computers. Ask someone if they can see it, they probably can.
-
@Vexbane If you are on another machine, 127.0.0.1 (localhost) will not work. It has to be the networks internal IP (ex: 192.168.x.x). It is not an issues if you cannot see your server, if others can it is fine.

Thanks for that info... Its not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but its going to drive my ADD/OCD nutts. I want to easily be able to view / make changes to name without needing to get a screenshot from ppl. I have hosted other older games in the past, like "Tribes Vengeance" and there was no problem with being able to see my own server in the server browser while hosting it on the same machine. I would imagine there is a way to correct it, I'm going to ask their support team to see if they know of any solution, but it likely has to do with how the devs setup the security for it and would have to be corrected in some way on their end, if they were even interested. I'm sure this would not be a top tier priority issue however, so I will find a way to manage, even if I have to create a hotspot on and connect with laptop or something, that should work in theory.

Is there some circumstances that servers just wont show up on list? ie; random black outs? I ask this because a clan member checked the server list today for me, typed in only 3 letters for our clan v3x and nothing came up in search so he scrolled thro the whole list and didnt find it. However it is listed / showing up in: https://kerberos.plutonium.pw/servers
EDIT:
It appears there is sometimes a "lag" or the servers do not always show the full list of what you search for or something. I have had this happen prior to starting up the hosting server, when I would try to re-join a server I was playing on, it would not show up in the list or from a search -

the serverlist does at the same time.
So basically my network is a bottleneck / choke point that since it can't process all of it, it only spits back what it can grab in <x> amount of time?
If that is the case, its not just my network, it seems to be happening quite regularly for everyone else I have been communicating with / helping me (about 5 differ ppl)
Is there anyway to correct it so it can process them all - how does the official cod servers happen to manage it on their end so we can process them all?
