HannesC in the section Issue: Launcher does not respond when trying to start it (or says MSVCP140.dll is missing):
Solution: Install the following runtimes (also mind the system requirements on top of this post!):
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/thank-you/net472-web-installer
https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x86.exe
i did that and i tried to launch bo2 again and it still didn't work, is it because of my kaspersky? -
Tobirama Senjuu very possible yes, exclude %localappdata%/Plutonium from scanning https://support.kaspersky.com/14848#block1
Make sure to select "all components" in the exclusion menu. -
Dss0 is there any chance i can get a video how to do that or you can just please break it down for me
-
He just linked the kaspersky docs on how to do that bruh. Its literally a picture book how can you not still understand it?
Also the runtimes you downloaded aren't everything - you need to install DX as well. Run dxsetup.exe inside directx folder, inside the redist folder.

HannesC Yeah sorry, update I completely turned off kaspersky for now and tried loading plutonium up and pressed play on bo2 and it still crashed, so it was not Kaspersky also I tried looking up the t6r.dll file and also tried looking up the plutonium bootstrapper on my pc and there was nothing is that a bad sign?

Don't turn off Kaspersky, enable it again and add %localappdata%/Plutonium to exclusions instead. Localappdata is a hidden folder so google how to view hidden folders in win10. You don't need t6r.dll, it became defunct a long time ago and isn't even related to your issue.
And if it still crashes, I'm outta ideas.
