Laptop Server not appearting on the server list
-
I am running a server from my laptop, which I have been able to connect to via the connect console command and the IP. I cannot, however, seem to find it on the server list when I run it. I do have a server key with a name that I have searched for and I have also tried to use the sv_hostname line of code in the config file. I don't know what to do to make the server appear on the list at this point.
-
Did you forward the port?
https://plutonium.pw/docs/server/t6/setting-up-a-server/#port-forwarding -
Yes, I have forwarded the port 4976 on my router and also enabled them to be ported in and out in the Windows Firewall, and forwarded the port on the router in the network section of the file explorer. Also, should I use the sv_hostname code in the config files or no?

Check whether the server is listed on https://pluto.mxve.de/ (or directly on the pluto api https://plutonium.pw/api/servers). I think it's possible the server just doesn't show up for you on your own network.
Did you open the port for both UDP and TCP?
sv_hostname doesn't do anything, the server name is set by the key.
-
It doesnt appear on the server list but it does appear on the API. I did port forward both UDP and TCP.
-
Afaik if it's listed on the API it should be working.
Whats the server name? -
CarbonnBasedd Zombies, wait it shows it on the web server list now, but it is not in the game's server list. I will try to see if someone else can see it from a different network.
-
Just checked, it doesn't show up ingame for me, directly connecting doesn't work either, so there seems to still be an issue.
I guess you gotta wait for someone with more knowledge about this than me to look at it. -
mxve Okay thanks for the help tho

No that only means it does heartbeat correctly and therefore that it has a valid server key.
CarbonnBasedd
Did you also allow incoming traffic in the windows firewall?
Did you double check your port forward?
Do you even have your own IPv4 address? -
Xerxes I have disabled windows firewall at this point, I have double checked my port forward and ensured that the IPV4 was selected for the device that the server is running on.
