try restarting your game, and make your friends restart it too

spent the last couple hours trying to figure anything out, solved it by us both just closing steam and restarting the game
idk why it works like that but it did for us at least

Make sure to read our doc, the blue box at the top explains it
          https://plutonium.pw/docs/custom-games/

If you still can't get it to work then let your friend try to invite you instead.
Otherwise open the app in your firewall and make sure the group is opened in game.

If nothing works port forwarding port 3074 (UDP) on your router will make it work

i fixed it by unfollowing my friend (also he to me), then refreshing the page and following back again, then open plutonium and play as normal (We do this process everytime to play, its the only way we found to fix it. (We only tested this on T6 zombies so).

              Hello everyone, check this out:

when I was playing with my cousin it was working fine but then in the next morning idk why but we got error unable to join

I had this issue before but I knew a simple soultion but that soultion didn't help

but then after so many tries I finaly made it to work
I ain't sure if that will work for you or not, but here are the steps :
              1- close steam
              2- download radmin vpn
3- set your network to private in windows network settings
4- allow the plutonium launcher and the boot staper in the firewall
5- allow 3074 UDP port in Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security
6- Now this is the most thing you gonna keep eye on
when you launch the game you must see in options tab "System Info" or just press S in the options
if you see your internal IP is same as Radmin VPN's IP then you must ready to go and let your friends join you
(you must create network on radmin vpn and let them join it) (and also your friends also need to do the steps)

if you didn't see your Radmin VPN's IP Address in the system info tab then you must keep restarting the game or disable your internet from your control pannel and re enable it

              I hope that worked 🙂

(also I think if you just disable your internet from your control pannel and re enable it just will fix the all problems)

              REMEMBER CLOSE STEAM

also sorry if you didn't understand a thing

also also NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU HAVE TWO ROUTERS IN YOUR HOME OR ROUTER CONNECTED TO YOUR HOME'S MODEM MAKE SURE YOUR ROUTER IS ON ACCSESS POINT OR BRIDGE MODE THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE FUTURE NOT JUST FOR BO2 PLUTONIUM

For those who still cannot join a friend's session. Try both join in the same network, by using VPN (I recommend "Radmin").

I FOUND a semi-consistent FIX. When you invite your friend to your game don't leave the friend invite screen until they join the party. An example like, start your own custom zombies game -> pick a map -> press F to select your friend -> press invite and don't leave that window until they join. I found that to work more often than not.
