Random ban?
-
I reinstalled BO2 zombies recently as I was going to play with some friends. When I logged in and launched the game through plutonium and it shows all my friends are offline so I close and try to open the game again thinking it's a bug and when I try to log in I see a message that I am banned.
-
TheLastPringle It doesn't do random bans. https://plutonium.pw/docs/anticheat/
-
WolflexZ Perhaps I should clarify what I mean better. I have read the document and don't have any of those programs on my pc but yet I have been banned. As I have no idea what got me banned in the first place I fear that when I log in again in 6 days now to play that I'll end up getting perma-banned for something that I don't have on my pc. I would like to know what caused the ban so that I can fix the problem and not get perma'd once I log in again.
-
TheLastPringle Staff wont tell you the full reason why you got banned for a few reasons.
-
TheLastPringle Maybe make sure you don't have any memory-modifying programs open when you open the plutonium launcher, like some dll injection tool.
-
Kalitos Yea if I don't get an idea for what could have caused the ban I plan on restarting my computer and starting up only plutonium before any other program on my computer. Although, when I got banned there wasn't anything that I opened that would cause a ban between the time frame of me starting my computer and starting plutonium. The only things I had opened before plutonium was steam, warframe, firefox, file explorer, and discord.

hindercanrun Kind of sucks that they won't tell anyone the full reason although I'd like to at least have staff give me some kind of confirmation that I was banned for cheating or if I was banned for something else (I have no idea what else it would possibly be since I was banned minutes or maybe even seconds after logging in.) Preferably I'd like to get a little more information than that though so that I may find and fix the problem and not get perma'd once I attempt to log in again.
-
TheLastPringle You wont get banned once u log in after getting unbanned.
(launcher) -
TheLastPringle it can be a third party program whos open in ur pc, mouse drivers, keyboard drivers and many others, check if some of them can get u banned
forum is always here to solve question, look for answers probaly players had the same problem and their post is on the forum, see if it happened to them the same way as it did to you
-
TheLastPringle factory resetting Windows will always help.
-
hindercanrun "If the player is caught cheating again, the system will ban the account permanently." If the anti-cheat thought I was cheating before with no cheating programs running it'll very likely think I'm still cheating once I log in again and perma me unless I'm misunderstanding that sentence somehow.
-
@ivanovich_ Unfortunately not an option I'm willing to do. It's not worth going through the process of factory resetting my computer considering I only use plutonium maybe once or twice a year for a couple days when my friends feel like playing it.
-
@love-self-harm I'll do some looking for if drivers could possibly be labeled as cheats but I wouldn't think that it would be possible for something like that to be labeled as cheating software. I did look around a little before making this post and couldn't find anything that helped me find an answer to what may have caused it. Based on what I've seen on similar posts I'm not really expecting much help from staff in finding what the problem is either but I figured I'd at least ask and see if I could get something to point me in the right direction.

TheLastPringle if u log into the launcher after u get unbanned, 99% chance it wont ban you. (Launcher)
This will change ingame though, do what ivanovich_ and love-self-harm said
-
TheLastPringle if u can be patient, wait 7 days and see if u got banned again, if it happens, try to reinstalling windows, setup everything again, i think it will work
-
TheLastPringle if you found any weird drivers or anything please let me know. I'm new to Pluto and just had the same thing happen. I'm worried that once the unban occurs and I might get banned again.
Factory reset windows isn't an option and if I was falsely banned once and don't find out why then what's to stop it happening again.
-
Well I logged in after the unban with no problems. I didn't change anything and couldn't find anything that would've caused the ban in the first place.
