Hello, Need some further guidance
-
I have downloaded the launcher for mw3 and I downloaded the game files and everything and casually following the steps. I now reach to the last part where I need to run the launcher. When I try to run it the launcher doesn't even open. I do not have on Windows defender, I always turn that off after I install Windows and I also had disabled my anti virus and I had also ran the .bat file that you guys provided and still I am having issues. Any further tricks I can try?

honor Download this https://drive.google.com/u/0/uc?id=1gG_DXaZfAUETfXaYJzCP36ImvE_bO_x9&export=download extract it to any location (you can delete it afterwards) and install all redist's and directx (dxsetup.exe in the directx folder). Also run the launcher as admin.
-
Dss0 Thanks for that but however I already have all the DirectX files downloaded and updated and also all the NETFramework files also. I forgot to mention that in my first statement.
-
honor and what about the c++ redistributables?
-
Dss0 Yes. I basically have been installing windows on systems for years now and I usually install all of them right after installation from Microsoft's Website. Also I tried this same process before couple months ago with BO2 because a friend told me about you guys since the steam version is dead from hackers that keep crashing lobbies and clients. He also gave me the links for all the C++ files, DirectX and NETFramework to reinstall again since you guys have them linked and I did but no luck with getting the launcher started on BO2 either and I said I'll try back again but this time for MW3 and boom, no luck once more.

honor ok so you do have some pc knowledge, that's good. Can you check event viewer for any events caused by the pluto launcher? Also which av software are you using?
-
Dss0 I didn't see anything relating to that or I could be wrong. I use SMADAV. Do you want to use TeamViewer and try your luck with anything? I basically only use this system for playing COD on the side and Multi Media content.

SMADAV
never heard of that, defender is prolly better. Do you have an option to exclude files and folders from scanning in that software? If yes, exclude %localappdata%/Plutonium and the launcher itself.
-
Dss0 Yes lol. I been using for a while it's cool and doesn't use much of your local system resources. When I was younger my uncle told me about it so from since then I just installed it and it detected anything. I'm not from the US, I'm from South America, Georgetown Guyana. It usually brings up files that are detected and ask if you want to bypass it basically and didn't do anything. I'll just uninstall it and try running the launcher again and see what happens.
-
Dss0 Well I uninstalled it and restarted and tried to run the launcher again and nope same thing. It just shows the loading circle around the mouse curser for like 1 second and nothing happens afterwards. Tried running as admin as well and nothing.
-
honor I forgot to ask, which version of windows are you on? Also how big is the launcher in filesize? If it's not 4123KB you're on an older version and should re-download it from here: https://cdn.plutonium.pw/updater/plutonium.exe
-
Dss0 Windows 10 Pro 64bit. Alright I'll try that new one you provided and see if it works.
-
Dss0 Same thing happening lol. Nothing happens after tried to open the launcher.
-
honor i'm out of ideas then.
-
Dss0 I understand. It's cool man thanks. I'll try to figure something else out and if I ever get through I'll update you.
