tells you exactly what triggered the AC.
Something like:
“You were banned because you injected ‘cheat.dll’ from
C:\Users\Random\MyCheat\cheat.dll.”
Or:
“The program ‘xD’ tried to modify the memory at 0xXXXXXXX in pluto.exe.”

If you read some of the posts about “wrong bans by the AC,” you’ll always find one of the following:
They had used some cheat or a mod-menu to play solo/coop.
They tried using apps like DS4, which is flagged by the AC. (I think the Plutonium staff suggested not to use that app a long time ago, but I don’t remember the post.)
Or they were using OBS incorrectly, which can get flagged by the AC.
If you follow the rules in the Plutonium Cheat Policy, I’m sure you won’t get banned.
The point is to search for information about what can get you banned before complaining about it without giving any context at all.
I’m glad to hear that your OBS config is not being flagged by the AC.
embracenewlife said in why am i banned?????? help:
ChosenUndead it is possible that the SteelSeries is whats causing the ban (as it has a macro feature) but it is also possible that it doesnt detect macros therefore SteelSeries wouldnt be causing the ban if it isnt flagged by anti-cheat
moreover, i have been recording with anti-cheat compatibility hook and i have yet to be banned, obviously it is different for everyone as even the document states "If either of those methods do not work, you can choose Display Capture for a source, but keep in mind it will record everything on the display and not just Plutonium." which i think going to display mode for recording is the best idea because you are guaranteed not to get false flagged and banned
also knotty claims to had updated windows while in game and when the update finished and he tried logging into plutonium, he got banned, do you think the anti-cheat could possibly false flag windows updates as cheats (genuine question)
“I have been recording with the anti-cheat compatibility hook.”
That’s the thing. They specifically said — and I quote — “Uncheck Use anti-cheat compatibility hook.”
If you can’t follow the rules, you can’t complain about it.
I’ve played since 2018 and I have NEVER, EVER gotten a ban. And I’m currently using OBS to record any gameplay on Pluto.
In fact, the RivaTuner overlay is always running in the background in every game I play.
knottynarwhal
I don’t think the SteelSeries software can get you banned, and in the case of OBS, if it’s not properly configured, it will only get you banned if you were recording.
I don’t know about Nvidia since I have an AMD GPU, but I haven’t had any issues so far.
jaredleos
If you use OBS and it’s not configured correctly, you can get banned.
It seems that nowadays reading is too hard for some people... Most bans happen because they didn’t inform themselves before doing something stupid.
jaredleos
There is always a reason... one could be a wrong config of OBS...

Plutonium has an anti-cheat that was completely custom made by our developers. While we cannot divulge information on how it works, we can confidently say that it works as we have thwarted over 20,000 cheating attempts! It will never catch everything but it most people agree that is does a better job than some others out there.
Plutonium Cheat Policy#
It is important you read and understand the following policy in regards to our anticheat system.
Upon detection of a Cheat:
Automatic ban of 7 days is placed onto the account.
When the player tries to login, they will be displayed a message which tells them they are banned and also tells them how long is left until the ban expires.
Attempting to bypass the ban in any way will lead to further restrictions.
Once the ban length has expired, the system will automatically remove the ban.
If the player is caught cheating again, the system will ban the account permanently.
We will not provide any information regarding any given ban, remember you broke our rules.
Caution
The anticheat is always active even in solo play / private match.
If you wish to cheat in private / solo you can use the launchers LAN mode which disables online functionality and disables the anticheat.
The anticheat will be triggered by the following but not limited to:
Injections
External tools and cheats
GSC Injectors
Rank Unlockers
Class editors
FoV/FPS changer programs
All official supported modding is safe including our built in GSC support.

Phoxphor said in How to appeal a ban?:
a few years ago i was banned for trying to use injection hacks to modify my class loadouts names and what not. i think it was sometime back in 2023 when i was like 15, im perm banned and im just trying to play black ops 2 for some nostalgia, dont plan on messing with anything of the sorts. can someone help out?
As far as I know, Pluto staff doesn't handle "unbans." Bans and unbans are automated, so you must wait for the time stated in the notification.
Usually, it’s 7 days if it’s your first time, unless you were trying to evade the ban (by creating multiple accounts).
In that case, you will receive a 10-year ban.
GateDiggers said in T4, T5, T6, IW5 naming is not user friendly:
These names are code names that only the developers would know. Why should we the end user/player have to memorize these code names instead of familiar names such as Black Ops 1, Black Ops 2, MW3 that we already know. Why add this touch?
Those names are older than you, I can promise that.
The first time I heard about “IW5” was from FD1 (Four Delta One), same with T5.
And it’s not that hard to figure out which games they’re based on from their code names.

Most of the crashes can be resolved by using the "Repair files" option in Steam.

Weapon camos only affect the person who has installed them.
For instance, if you were playing vanilla MW3 and you got all the gold camos unlocked, and I joined the same server, you would not be able to see if I have a custom gold camo or not. Because the game will only show you the camos that you have installed (the defaults).
But in MW3, the profile pictures are rendered into the game. I don't mind that some weirdo uses NSFW as camo.
But why do I have to see some random male or female genitalia every time I get killed? It’s not my problem that they have the necessity to jerk off every 30 seconds or so.

Link is not longer active, could you fix it pls?
It happens the same way in Call of Duty Mobile, where some players abused the system and ended up using NSFW profile pictures if you were logged in with Facebook or Google.
Eventually, Activision disabled that option — and something similar happened with Farlight 84.
I think NSFW content should be completely banned. I come to Plutonium to play games and relive some old memories, not to see random weirdo using inappropriate NSFW profiles.
For example, Zloemu allows in-game avatars for Battlefield 4, but on their page they clearly state:
“No Nazi, porn, etc.
Breaking this rule will result in your avatar being disabled.”
This platform is not a porn site — so it’s only normal that such content should be disabled or banned.

If I remember correctly, long ago, if you wanted to play on a PDG server, you had to own a LEGAL copy of the game.
If you didn’t have one (or simply didn’t want to), you could play only on cracked servers; of course, that was some sort of circumvention. But PDG servers always required a LEGAL copy of the game.
Brigeezy123
It’s incredible the work you did. It’s very similar to the original version (wow).
It’s a shame that the BO1 camos don’t look the same.
Would it be possible to adapt or create something similar for the rest of the weapons (non-WAW weapons)?
I would really like something like this for the weapons in Moon.

Cuz they are the best, 3 lines, nice cqb, etc.
