The launcher updates itself when you start it. If it's not doing it this means you pinned the launcher while it was running.
To fix this unpin Plutonium from your taskbar, make sure Plutonium is closed and pin plutonium.exe again.

OR

Delete plutonium.exe and plutonium.new.exe and download a new copy of the launcher here: https://cdn.plutonium.pw/updater/plutonium.exe
Then place the new exe anywhere you want: on your desktop or in your game files folder for example and run it.
The update process will start and you won't have anything more to do next times, only run plutonium.exe and it'll automatically update

JonathanSanders make sure you followed the guide correctly. To answer your question only host need to either have uPnP enabled in the Network tab of the Plutonium overlay or to port forward but if your friend has it then it's not an issue. 2 tips I could give you is make sure nothing on your PC is blocking the connection (firewall or antivirus firewall). Finally if you really can't get it to work I'd recommend port forwarding instead of using uPnP just to make sure uPnP isn't the issue.

PhDFlopper if you downloaded on Steam then go in Steam right click on the game > properties > local files > browse. If you are using the torrent then it is where you installed. Right click on the torrent in your torrent client and click on Open folder or Open containing folder, something like that.

@Juliabp04 looks like your folder is in the Downloads folder? Put your game in a normal folder and this should work. If you don't know where to put it then put it in C:\Games

wraxu contact the server owners on their Discord server or website. You can also ask someone to join the server and see there like using !discord command or something. Next time if you like a server don't say dumb things and you won't get in trouble

Blsphmus you can either manually backup the dll file and put it back whenever you wanna play on Steam servers again or just repair your game in Steam and it'll automatically download all the required missing/broken files (so the dll).

You could create a .bat file to do that for you like you'd have a Plutonium IW5 shortcut and a Steam MW3 shortcut and it'll move the file inside/outside the folder depending on which one you launch.

EpicKuro just do what the guide says. Enable it and make sure it's enabled in the network tab in the Plutonium overlay and if you can't then port forward.

Squidbob Groups are used to put Contributors, VIPs, Administrators etc. in a specific category mainly to give them their forum access and colored name afaik. You can't create a group on your own and I don't think admins would create one for you specifically. They might create a generic group like Server Hoster but that's it imo.

@SCPSUP steam_api.dll being deleted is normal. Plutonium deletes this to avoid conflicts with Steam afaik. The crashes might be caused by your antivirus. Try to add both the Plutonium folder and your BO2 folder as exclusions. See this guide

If that doesn't fix your issue then you might have to uninstall your antivirus. FYI Windows Defender the antivirus that comes with Windows 10 is very good for the average user and is free so I recommend that you stick with that.

Transgender_ you can't use ReShade with Plutonium, it will just crash the game.
