This is how it works, but if you try to run it on the server side through the main_shared folder then the server simply won't start. But probably this question is more for the bot developer.

I hope there will be unlocker for both MP and Zombies Rank/Classes like BO2 did.

/unlockall for both SP (unlocks missions) and MP (max level & everything unlocked) note, it must be ran on both sp & mp for both to apply.

Is installing custom maps same as the Vanilla version?

Sort of, right now you must move all custom content to %localappdata%\Plutonium\storage\t4 as loading from steam's folder is buggy atm.
