@Zephity Try to uninstall the drivers requested by DS4 Controller and re-download the drivers and restart the pc. Another thing clean the usb where the ps4 control is connected, it may be dirty and it does not recognize the control to the pc.

@Splatzy Have you tried to connect with usb like any console controller (I don't know if it has a usb connector a never had a switch) or if it doesn't try with DS4 Controller.

@evegrove123 You could have to do additional steps in the game for mods but a mod won't make you need to port forward. If you get vanilla custom games to work then modded will be the same

about any kind of game crash like this one that is not related to using custom scripts and such, i usually go for installing all of the visual c++ updates, the game can start with them but im not sure if it runs completely without them. i never knew because i always install everything related to DirectX, VC++ and .NET stuff before the games (just saying my case, the problem still would need to be investigated i guess).

i have the same difficulty my friend saw me online but i don't see him so this might be related and i don't see anyone when i go through recent played with or friends ( i follow him and he follows me )

Is it a binkw32.dll error or a d3dcompiler/xinput_3 error? If its the first, screenshot your game folder and game settings of the launcher. If its the second, you need the redists https://github.com/ChxseH/Redist-Installer/releases/download/latest/Redist-Installer.bat

How much RAM does your PC have? Try closing all unnecessary apps running in the background and re-launch the game.
