You need to type vid_restart after that for changes to take effect. Alternatively, you can also change that manually through the cfg files located in %localappdata%/Plutonium/storage/t6/players.

fetus_eater 1111 if you see your custom classes in the class selection screen right before spawning but your weapon gets replaced with a knife it's most likely the server replacing it via a mod. Maybe it restricts some weapons.
Other than that make sure you create your custom classes in ranked -> create a class.

Use the external console to execute commands (bootstrapper cmd window).

Start the game with the plutonium.exe file you downloaded when installing Plutonium.
