BO3 Ray gun style
Hello there ! I was trying to improve, update a good old friend, the ray gun. When I got the ray gun on Buried or Origins with that little green (or red if Pack-a-Punched) glowing effect, I always said that was better than the previous versions. You too ? Therefore this post can interest you. I try to do the same for the others maps, but on blue, like Black Ops 3, 4 and CW.

LKurama the textures works for all the maps?? because sometimes I play buried but the skins is the vanilla bo2 ray gun. There's a bug just for me or the skins works normal for all the maps??

xNando You've got to know that RayGun in BO2 has got two models,
One model is only used for Origins and Buried, you can notice it with the beautiful green glowing 115 battery chamber.
One another model is used for every other map in CoD Zombies. (this release is for this one)
That means they've got different textures.
On the left, you can see the model used for Origins and Buried
On the right, you can see for the other maps.But this release is more a protoype than a finished texture, to be honest.
Nothing is shining, I've made this, in like, 30 minutes. -
LKurama I mean spec maps are a pain in the ass alot of the time nobody normally changes them or they just pull it from another game and paste it on top just easier and the difference is barely even noticeable most of the time
I found this image that shows all 4 versions of the raygun They look basically identical besides a few color changes and texture changes and no this doesn't include the Raygun that appears on the non DLC maps for BO2 because again nothing is really changed I also got the BO2 one just now and Surprise they look similar Not as bright but the texture is Basically Identical lol whatever this persons complaining about is non existent -
if they really care about missing glow that bad they can just make the texture themselfs and upload it to the forum matter of fact the most you could do is change the color of that area it won't even glow T_T

May have also misread the complaint and still it kinda doesn't even matter if they want to change that texture they can all the maps have different textures I think MOTD and Origins use the same one but other then that Buried is the only map that even has that boring ass texture on it the rest of the maps the Raygun looks normal meaning it has the same Texture the rest of the Victus maps have Buried is the only one thats different from the rest

Memeking254 Well, I understand how BO2 spec maps are done
It's not really hard once you know how it works. But the BO3 PBR is very different from BO2, it needs a lot of time to convert everything etc.And today i'm working on a different project (Origins Enhanced) and I don't think I'll be able to work on this raygun texture anymore. Rayguns models are very similar but built in a very very different way (from BO2 to BO3 for example)

LKurama Like yea that's dope looking I didn't really understand how spec maps worked nor did i want to waste time fucking with it when I don't even mess with super reflective camos alot only time ive actually messed around with spec maps was BO1 and Im sure those work completely different from BO2 as well since I tried using the same spec map and it fucked my shit up I also tried to change the Origins PaP camo and wanted to change how reflective the metal bits are on that camo because they are Yellowish and they look so ugly lol and again couldn't get it to work properly
PS. I appreciate it but please use a different menu I stg that shit sucks so bad T_T we really need better menus for ZM

LKurama yeah, yesterday I realized that they were different models and that the 115 chamber moves and has some glow playing origins and buried. But still thanks for the BO3 model!
