I Cant launch The Game. Need Help
-
I'm having issues getting my game to properly launch. Once I click play , Plutonium closes and nothing happens. Ive tried deleting everything and restarting. I've also tried buying bo2 on steam and going that route. if anyone can help me delete all the files and start fresh that would be appreciated

KLProductionsOG which antivirus software do you use? Also do this:
- hit windows key + R
- type
winver
into the run box and hit enter - post a screenshot of the window that pops up
-
I use kaspersky Internet Security
also i can only reply every 10 mins since i dont have a level 3 rep -
KLProductionsOG yea it's to prevent spam, sadly this is required because of past incidents.
Can you post a screenshot of your kaspersky exclusion settings?
Also check windows event viewer for any errors that come up after hitting play (windows logs -> application). -
ok no worries.
0 Exclusions
also can we hop in a discord call? So you can walk me through what to do, im new to pc.im a plug and play guy. -
KLProductionsOG well the guide i linked above tells you to exclude pluto from scanning in your av.. that's most likely why this is happening.

just tried it and i still cant get it to work. can we hop on discord so i can share my screen?
-
KLProductionsOG nah can't, have you excluded
%localappdata%/Plutonium
? Can also try just excluding%localappdata%/Plutonium/bin/plutonium-bootstrapper-win32.exe
as that's what's getting falsely flagged as a virus. -
Dss0 said in I Cant launch The Game. Need Help:
%localappdata%/Plutonium
ok. can you walk me through how to do that? -
KLProductionsOG ... it's all in the guide. The guide links you to this article from kaspersky's website: https://support.kaspersky.com/keswin/10sp2/en-US/128138.htm
You may not be able to see %localappdata% (or C:\Users\AppData\Local) by default so either try just pasting the path i pasted above into kaspersky or enable "show hidden files and folders" in the windows explorer options, if you don't know how to do that google it.

yeah i tried following it but it hasn't been updated in over a year so the tabs they refer to are not in the same spots. i give up. thanks anyway.
