Hey - can any of you with the issue please email [email protected] with your discord username? If you could include the country (or state) that you're connecting from and any other info you're already tried in the email for us to read, this will help us alot 🙂

Please only do this if you're willing to share your screen via discord and do some tests to help us troubleshoot the issue and gather more data. None of our staff are facing the issue so it's proving difficult to troubleshoot.

          Thanks!

@Mr-Android I'm unable to screenshare because I'm gonna be busy the next few days, but if this helps, here's a list of every troubleshooting step I've done.

Reinstalling BO2 & verifying game files, Reinstalling Plutonium (deleting %localappdata%\Plutonium), Reinstalling internet drivers, resetting network settings, setting static IP, disabling IPV6, enabling UPnP, setting firewall exceptions, disabling firewall, fresh windows install (dualboot), phone hotspot, VPN, using Wi-Fi, flushing DNS cache, changing DNS server, restarting the router.

I wanna point out that I also don't use any antivirus, defender is completely disabled and there's no third party ones running.

BO1 and WaW Plutonium also have no issues. It's purely a BO2 thing.

Nyneee Thanks for the detailed breakdown. My leading guess right now is that it's related to people's Internet Service Provider. Either it's a router setting (which i hope for as then we can solve it / offer guidance) but there's a chance it's a problem between the ISP's and the Cloudflare, in which case I can try to call the ISP and log a support request but that will be it.

Seems MOST people are in Cali, with some in Australia and some in the middle east.

For people reading please answer the following if you are comfortable with it:

            Your location (country / state):
            Your ISP:
The model of your router: (It may be that one router model is shared among everyone's ISP).
Does using a VPN solve the issue for you?:

To the people that reached out via email - I've either added you on discord or emailed you back to explain why I couldn't add you.

Nyneee @Mr.Android Update: Proton VPN let me through like the previous user just explained.

Tried to see if disabling proton VPN while I'm logged in will keep me in, and it does for about 3 minutes until I get "You have been disconnected from the Black Ops II servers"

I did testing using TCPView and when the VPN is enabled, the plutonium-bootstrapper is able to connect to the IP just fine, when it's off, it loses the IP completely.

I'm not a networking expert but I'm able to ping the IP and get a reply from it just fine, so I'm not sure where the issue lies at

Nyneee Would you (and anybody else who has tried a VPN successfully and unsuccessfully) be able to download Cloudflare WARP and install it, run it and connect and then see if the connection is able to be made when opening BO2?

WARP is essentially a VPN through CloudFlare and hopefully whatever is stopping the connection through CloudFlare is fixed when it's going via CloudFlare.

                                      Download Link: https://install.appcenter.ms/orgs/cloudflare/apps/1.1.1.1-windows-1/distribution_groups/release

Servers in theory shouldn't see WARP as a VPN so if this works please try playing on a server and see if you get kicked for using a VPN.

If this works, we can look to tell WARP to only route your internet traffic through WARP if it's related to Plutonium - I just haven't looked up how to do that yet. (So the privacy focussed people don't have to send all their internet traffic through CF if they don't want to)

Everyone - please also update the game by running plutonium.exe (don't have WARP running if you installed it)

LOTS of changes so if it's code related (not likely tbh) this may fix it. It's definitely worth a shot as nothing to lose, please let us know 🙂

@Mr-Android Cloudfare WARP lets me into Plutonium without a styx socket error, but non VPN allowed servers still give me the boot.

Also, the discord announcement said the release for the update is the 27th, was there a smaller update that got pushed out? My plutonium client didn't fetch it if there was
