JezuzLizard Hello, thank you for your post. It recently came to our attention that a lot of people would be interested in a proper Black Ops 1 client for Plutonium. Together with the other Administrators, we have approved your request and we will be making a multiplayer/zombies client for Black Ops 1 for nostalgia purposes.

Why cant you just leave stuff as it is! smhWietPot said in Why cant you just leave stuff as it is! smh:
I am flabbergasted by an attitude like this. I am new here, discovered this entire project this week (thank you, Youtube algorithm) and I had the total opposite reaction. I already happen to have BO2 on Steam, setting everything up took a bit due to a few random errors but within 30 minutes, I was playing BO2 on a populated, hackers free server, something I would never think to occur again.
I immediately bought MW3, just to try and get out more of this. I don't understand what makes you think this project owes you a copy of a game neither the project nor you owe any rights to. The fact that they attempt via various methods to still let everyone play the game is commendable, but by no means required. And, considering this entire project is free, they actually don't owe you anything. And there's plenty of people who are playing successfully, or manage to install it very recently, like me.
Some people just don't get it. The CD-keys in Steam are going for the price of a beer - depending where you live - not even worth the torrent hassle.
Honestly, thank you for your reply. Reading replies / messages like these actually make me very happy. We honestly have to deal with entitled kids 24/7, people that actually have respect for the hard work we've put into it are very rare.

I CHEATED AND GOT BANNEDYou started a cheat on the main menu, you were unable to join a server and rebooted your game within 5 minutes. You then got the "you're banned" message. This was on the 4th of November. It is now the 11th of November, your ban time should expire today. If you still have ban time remaining it means that you have attempted to circumvent the ban. Nothing about your story is truthful. Next ban will be permanent.

CoD BO1Plutonium T5?

banned by mistake or confusionMvrtin1l People don't get banned for no reason. Your brother is anti-cheat banned which means he cheated. He won't be unbanned. If you post one more time we will make sure you and your brother will never be unbanned again.

Custom zombie mapsT6 will eventually have support for custom content too.

Ban continuing...Because it isn't addressed in the anti-cheat policy. The anti-cheat policy contains information about when you get banned for cheating and how long the ban will be. It is common sense that you should not cheat. If you have to inject something into your game, you're doing something wrong.
We're not obligated to unban you either, and I am glad that you are no longer able to play especially after getting banned for cheating twice. I don't get it, why would you make the same mistake again after you've already been banned once?

plutonium makes my microphone malfunction on discordThis is because of how CoD works. Adjust your microphone volume in-game to match what you normally use. Call of Duty games fuck your microphone volume level on Windows. They set it to whatever you configured in-game when you open the game.

Some suggestions for the client.° Make the AK-74u camos actually show up properly. Tbh, you were better off using the old camos and models rather than trying to remake it.
There are no camo models for the AK-74u in the original game. In fact, the original images for the AK-74u don't even support camos.
° Fix Intervention sounds they sound like coming from opposite direction. And maybe if you could add MW2 camos as an option for intervention.
We're working on making the sounds better. You probably think bringing over a weapon from one game to the other is a simple Ctrl + C & Ctrl + V task. I can tell you that that is not the case.
No idea what we deserved such a passive-aggressive post for, to be honest. We're not a Triple-A game studio and we do not get paid for any of this either. We'd appreciate it if you'd be a bit nicer to us in your future posts.

Curiosity@_trippy_ Hello trippy,
Nice to see that you're studying software development! A very good choice in my opinion
Plutonium itself is made using C++ and Assembly. It is made in these languages because the game is written in C++ itself, and C++ code gets compiled to Assembly. In order to change the games functionality, we modify the memory of the game. We do this by placing jumps from the games code to Plutoniums custom code. This part is done in Assembly. Once the code is redirected to our custom code, we then make use of C++ to implement the changes to the code (because this is easier than writing everything in Assembly). In order to do this kind of stuff, you need tools like IDA or Ghidra and a debugger (OllyDBG, x32dbg). These tools are required to figure out what the game is doing.

Windows 7 SupportGigabyte1027 said in Windows 7 Support:
why not? it doesnt seem too hard especially considering the amount of documentation there is reguarding windows 7 and developing software for it. it would probably help with people running entry level pc's too. not to mention the fact that like 90% of the games ive seen on steam even the new ones still work on 7 and even vista so it seems logical to support it
The guy is just mad because he can't understand simple english language. Had to tell him the same thing 3 times and kept going. The code Plutonium adds in MW3 since the last update requires stuff in your Windows Kernel that doesn't exist on Windows 7. You need at least Windows 8.1 in order to have support for these features. The game can't launch without it. It's not about hating Windows 7, Windows 7 is old technical wise and we don't want to have to build our code in a way it still works on Windows 7. It indirectly prevents us from making good & new features. And again, it wont run anymore on Windows 7 due to the code changes of last update.
Besides that, I'd advise to use Windows 10 as it is OFFICIALLY supported by Microsoft. Sometimes it's time to move forward.

Playing with friendsSet zombies_minplayers to 2 on the host. If you are hosting a dedicated server, put it in the config. If you are playing private match, enter zombies_minplayers 2 in your console before starting the game.
