Same here. The plutonium IW5 window crashes when trying to apply the settings and seemingly hijacks the mouse input. Keyboard input still works so I just alt f4'd the console to kill it. I edited the plutonium.cfg config file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3\players2 and set the line with r_displayRefresh to seta r_displayRefresh "144 Hz" instead, that seems to work.

try to use hamachi, create a server, copy your ip, send to your firends your ip and create a lan lobby, your friends need to go in console and write this: connect 27.94.34.678:28960 (example) (the host needs to send the hamachi ip) and the port about mw3 ps. i dont know if this works but for world at war works very good, so try it and sorry for my bad english

If it still shows the same error, screenshot your mw3 folder and game settings of the launcher.

Go into settings and change the "Toggle ADS - L2" and unbind it, and switch it to "ADS" or hold ads. Something along that line

@Gunethical go to your mw3 game folder and open the players folder. in there you should find a plutonium config file, open that with a text editor (notepad++ recommended) and look for "r_displayMode", change it's value to "windowed (no border)". Solved, I had to download the dlcs from the guide link on my server, my client did work the way I had it. Thank you all. And I used my old copy since I have it in Spanish and the guide only says English.

You can try and repair your game here, note that after repairing, if you try and launch MW3, it will crash the first time as it needs to delete a file from your game folder, but on the second launch it should work.

And you are sure that you are in-game and not in any of the menus? @vldelzwq he already has an xinput controller.
