I actually just got mine working by trying again and clicking the plutonium.exe and it automatically updated the launcher.
You are always supposed to start the game that way, and yes the error comes from an outdated version of the launcher.
To prevent this, follow these steps:
1... Open your graphics control panel NVIDIA? or AMD?
2... Set preferred gpu. In the control panel, navigate to where you can set the preferred gpu for specific applications or games. Look for the option like "Manage 3D settings" in NVIDIA Control Panel or "Switchable Graphics" in AMD Radeon Settings.
3... Save changes and restart your system.
@yfoops does it work without the controller? What kind of controller is it? are you using external software to get it to work? Can you post a screenshot of the error message? Never seen that one before.
And because Plutonium no longer sells pirated copies is because of a C&D order placed on Plutonium by Activision, telling them that people must get the game legitimately.
@FutureRave I didnt actually change my email I just left it the same and hit the button change email. Posted this because it worked for both of my friends as well, so if that doesnt say anything I dont know what would.
