They were just stats files that had been edited but since they worked at the time yet no longer work with the current version on plutonium, I assume its due to the updates. Is there any way I can regain the stats back with the current update?

@EmJH that link should get you to the FAQ topic.. anyways install directx from the redist folder in your game folder (redist/DirectX/DXSETUP.exe).

Screenshot the error. Also for the black screen issue, type r_fullscreen 0 and vid_restart into the bootstrapper cmd window and see if you can get into the game again.

@juan_obando No. I can understand if the redist installer didn't work for you, could be because of fucked up permissions or whatever, but there's no way manually installing the dx9 could go wrong. It's either that you have a different error or you don't know how to run a file.

@Dss0 Interesting, well, I think I solved the issue by changing my memory offset from +950 to +850 on my RTX 3070 (I use a GPU overclocking software called ThunderMaster). Thank you so much for getting my game running again :)). Seems like Bo2 or pluto does not like my overclock, sadly . My overclock has worked great on other applications, like COD Cold War, MW 2019, NFS Heat. Oh well, hopefully, this has solved my issue, as I can start the game now without any problems. Thanks again!

On some notebooks you have to press the fn key to use the Fxx keys as they default to their special functions.
